Dr. Martie Maritz
A compassionate and dedicated family doctor whose roots run deep in the friendly city of Port Elizabeth. Having grown up here, she matriculated from Hoรซrskool DF Malherbe High School, where her natural leadership and community spirit shone brightly. She even served on the Junior City Council, laying the foundation for a lifelong commitment to service and care.
After school, Dr Maritz initially embarked on a journey in Pharmacy at the University of Port Elizabeth. She excelled academically, ranking among the top five students in her first year. Yet, her passion for people and her calling to serve more holistically led her to change direction. She began her medical studies in Pretoria and proudly qualified as a medical doctor in 2007.

Her path of service continued with her medical internship in Uitenhage, followed by her community service year in Mpumalanga in 2010. These experiences shaped her into the deeply empathetic, knowledgeable, and grounded practitioner she is today.

Beyond her career, Dr Maritz is devoted to her family. She is married to a botanist whom she describes as a wonderful partner and an exceptional father to their three energetic boys, aged 11, 9, and 7.
